where they were made
mother & baby essences came into being around a magnificent natural bowl-shaped pond filled with water lilies in full bloom, deep in the countryside of Kent, South East England. The pond is a well-balanced eco-system full of various species of carp, newts and frogs, and is visited by all kinds of magnificent birds, butterflies, bees, dragonflies, other insects and local wildlife who all enjoy the energy.
In the days leading up to making the essences, the pond was blessed and decorated with a medicine wheel, under the guidance of resident nature spirits, to enhance the energy of this sacred space.

Pond around which mother & baby essences were made
For each essence, the bowl of pure spring water was placed at intuitively selected locations around the pond and the elements to be used then arranged around the bowl.
At dawn on the first day of making the range, rain began to fall, with showers throughout the day, finishing just as we completed the last essence for that day. Water is one of the four key elements of nature (water, fire, air and earth) and with its clear importance in the birthing process and relevance to sustaining life, it seemed quite magical that we were making the first mother & baby essences on a rainy summer's day.
